What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

Decades of community involvement on a range of boards, media responsibilities, and community advocacy has given me a breadth of understanding of how the county works and relationships with stakeholders at many levels. I am available full-time to help represent the citizens, advocate for the pressing issues at the state level and to do the research necessary to treat the many topics that come before the council as a priority.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

The top three issues are lack of housing, exhausted infrastructure and the county, state and nation being under-funded to handle what is required.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

Housing is a first priority as the lack of it destabilizes not only the effected family but also the health of the larger community. Forcing fiscal restraint and efficiency is critical so that our problems do not become worse.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

The lives of constituents begin to improve when they feel sincerely heard and they have an ally to help explore their ideas. Expanded bus service, cleaner parks, and respectful regulation enforcement are immediate first steps that can happen.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Environmental resilience and social justice are important pathways towards helping all aspects of our islands to remain healthy place to call home. I will be putting the people first. This responsibility will have my receptive, full-time focus.
