What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

I have spent my life caring for the people of Hawai`i as a local doctor and a policy maker who is committed to focusing on the very real challenges that we all face in our society, such as homelessness, addiction and economic and social equality.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

Chronic homelessness, the Opioid Crisis and Affordable Housing

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

As Lieutenant Governor I will take full ownership of the homeless and opioid crises. Solving both will make a difference for our families and our state’s economy. Having a physician with real knowledge and expertise on these large issues should make the office of LG more relevant.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

I am committed to reducing the tragedies from addiction and overdose, and to greatly reduce homelessness to the point it is manageable again in our society.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am married to Jaime Ushiroda Green (Kaneohe) and have two wonderful children, Maia (11) and Sam (7).
