What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

Unlike the career politicians who see Hawaii taxpayers as a bottomless pit of money, my lifetime of real business experience shows me the reality of limited resources, the necessity of maximum efficiency, and the desirability of cutting losses when programs aren't providing return on investment. Left to their own devices, the Democrat Political Machine will keep wasting billions each year on failed departments, agencies, and programs in order to keep signwavers and campaign contributors gainfully employed. I will use my business skills to help review the value of every dollar spent by state government. The savings will mostly go to tax cuts, while much will be redirected, such as giving 100% of education dollars to the schools themselves rather than the massive, ancient, wasteful DOE mega-bureaucracy. I refuse to see any part of state government as a sacred cow and I am beholden to nobody except taxpayers. Period.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

(1) Making Ends Meet while Democrats and their cronies ratchet up the cost of living higher and higher.

(2) Getting their money's worth from government which is mostly operating to pay bureaucratic salaries, perks, and pensions while providing less and less in return to overburdened taxpayers.

(3) Envisioning an affordable, rewarding future in Hawaii for themselves and their kids while career politicians, special interest groups and the liberal news media systematically pursue overtaxation, price inflation, big government, a cradle-to-grave nanny state mentality, and crony capitalism which props up favored monopolies at the expense of real competition.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

Now that the Rail Cartel's overpriced pet project is officially a State project too, I will work to get taxpayers completely off the hook for this wasteful boondoggle by fighting to repeal the tax increases for HART while fighting to fully privatize the system's construction, operations, maintenance and expansion. Special interest groups have plundered the taxpayers of Hawaii long enough. Developers and contractors and construction unions can build their fake affordable housing luxury condos next to bus stops. They shouldn't be able to sucker taxpayers any longer into subsidizing this utopian socialist pipe dream of rail when nobody making money off this project even rides public transportation. I will also lead the fight to recoup as much tax money as possible and possible criminal charges by pursuing the fraudulent representations about traffic relief which set this project in motion.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

Voters need to know that I am a fighter. I do not give up. And I don't like what is being done to the people of Hawaii by our state government. I believe we are all being ripped off by a coalition of politicians, special interest groups, bureaucrats and their cheerleaders in the media. Clearly, Hawaii is heading in the wrong direction because our leaders are forcing us in the wrong direction. When half of island residents are struggling from paycheck to paycheck and flat-footed politicians appear to be just getting interested in the serious problems affecting all of us, it's time to start over with people who really care and who really know how to shake things up for the greater good. I am ready to go to battle for taxpayers. And that's the most important thing they should know about Marissa Dipasupil KERNS

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

On behalf of the silent majority, I will be a constant advocate and champion for desperately needed reforms and solutions that the self-dealing Democrat Political Machine refuse to consider. I will also transform the LG office into that of a watchdog and inspector general so that I can shine a light on the many failures of state government to give taxpayers their money's worth.
