What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

I'd like to say my personal character. Being trustworthy, having integrity, honoring commitment, and always looking for what the greater good is so that possibly everyone could benefit.

I would also like to promise to be the voice of the silent majority. This would be for all the men and women who've lost hope and have given up on a government that should have made us thrive and alive, but instead, has destroyed the spirit and countenance of its people. I, on the other hand will work harder for you, I will be transparent and govern with truth and integrity.

A lesson learned that my dad taught me a long time ago was that in order to be a strong and effective leader, one must also be a strong and effective follower. Our kama'aina are good, honest and a hardworking people. They deserve someone in government that will be on their team and on their side. They're looking for someone who will listen intently and take serious their concerns.

I believe this, why would anyone care about you if they themselves didn't believe that you truly cared about them? I have the ability to love and connect with with others. I don't look at the State Senate as an ordinary 9 - 5 job, but it's about truly caring for others.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

Cost of living (COL) We need to make life affordable for us to live comfortably in Hawaii. Next, drugs in our communities that are on the rise in Central Oahu.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

Cost of living (COL) We need to make life affordable for us to live in Hawaii. Next, fighting the drugs in our communities that are on the rise in Central Oahu.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

To stand and fight against raising taxes.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

My name is tony Solis. I'm your typical local boy. I was raised here in Hawaii for close to 50 years. I have only one queen in my life and that's my wife Tori. We've been married now for over 25 years and I would not ever want to walk this life without her. Together, we have produced 4 beautiful children. My eldest has moved out and has a great job and a beautiful 1 year old daughter in which makes me a grandpa! Having a grandchild is something new to me and I can't even begin to explain all the emotions of having a grandchild, but I'll say this, you can't help but fall in love all over again. The other three of my children still live with us at home and they all have aspirations of doing great things one day in this life.

There a two things that I value in life more than anything. Number one is that I love God with all that I am, and two, that I love others as myself. I want you to know that I'm a bible-believing Christian.
