What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

For the past 10 years I have been employed in many different positions in the Hawaii State Legislature which gives me a unique perspective of the legislative process and how things work in the State Capitol. These experiences have not only taught me valuable lessons about the legislature and the process but also have allowed me to forge relationships with individuals who participate in the legislative process such as community members, advocates, & administrators. Working collaboratively with everyone gives our community the best chance to prosper. As a lifelong resident of the neighborhoods which I represent, I am dedicated to working hard to improve our community while still keeping the charm which makes us unique. Living through the same issues as many of our local families pushes me to do everything I can to make our quality of living better.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

Homelessness. Housing. Cost of living.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

Tackling the housing shortage which is the only way we will make major strides taking homeless off of the streets. All of our major challenges are interconnected and helping our residents is my highest priority.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

Continue to be a strong voice in the legislature and ensure funding for the needs of our community especially in our schools.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

It has been a privilege to serve the communities of Kalihi, Palama, Iwilei & Chinatown for the past two years and I look forward to continue our work together to make our district and Hawaii a better place for all of our residents.
