What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

My ability to get things done and not hopeful wishing

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

these are not my top three reasons for running, the biggest challenge is a Hospital second is traffic, costing countless loss dollars as people sit in traffic many on hourly wages, such as delivery personal. Cost of living and no affordable rentals. A hospital or urgent care center is critical to protect both residents and visitors. Hawaii is short about 1,200 doctors. Not only do we struggle to recruit doctors we are losing doctors to the mainland as hospitals offer huge signing bonuses along with significant pay increases. Without tort reform to protect our doctors above their insurances limits we are in trouble. Many of us will have to leave our shores to get the care we need.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

Strengthening families and offering the people a future and a hope. Protecting our kupuna and making sure they do not suffer in silence. Keeping families together is important. We can not ignor the fact that Hawaii has about 169,000 recipients on Government food aid. No child should ever have to go to school hungry, yet we know that happens everyday. The fact is parents are challenged to put a healthy meal on the table everyday. The cost of food in Hawaii is hurting our families. I have great ideas to solve this problem once and for all.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

Increase teacher pay 20% and afford them a livable wage.
Increase minimum wage to $18.00 an hour. Women are the largest group of people earning minimum wage. I spoke to a single mother of three working full time for minimum wage. She could not qualify for WIC. How do you pay rent, bills and put food on the table with such a small paycheck? you can't.
Rent control, we must protect our renters from price increases each time the lease is due.
Eliminate tax on food for Hawaii residents only.
Free school meals.
Free bus ride to and from school, lets take this burden off the parents.
Free drivers education in High School leading to a drivers permit.
Free junior college, no student who meets academic standers should be turned down from college.
Bring back the trade plumbing, electrical ,carpentry , auto mechanics and tech jobs. Lets train people free of charge so they can take advantage of the jobs when they come.
I would like to start a community advisory group to advise me of
their needs

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I graduated from a police academy, I graduated from a fire academy, I was a deputy corner investigator. I was appointed by the President of the Board of Supervisors to sit on a advisory council. I had a Real Estate License in California and I have a Hawaii Real Estate License I am a member of the American Red Cross and a member of the American Heart Association. I was a volunteer kicking coach at LahainaLuna High School. Most of all I am a husband and father of three. I love God, Family and my Country. I am not driven by greed, power or ambition but by purpose and a promise to lead my constituents on the right path, one that offers a future and a hope.
