My leadership capability, willingness to stand up for the people & take on tough issues, fairness, honesty, hard-working, innovative, persistence in legislative issues, and eight years on the Hawaii County Council.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

There are four: Build a new Kona Hospital near the Kona Airport; get a 4-year university in Kona; affordable rentals; and emergency housing for homeless.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

I will work on all four of the challenges: hospital, university, affordable rentals, & emergency housing for homeless.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

Trauma Level 3 and teaching hospital, dialysis unit in Ka'u, Physician's Assistant program in Kona, re-purpose the old Kona Hospital for long-term care, drug rehab, and homeless shelter.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am honest, fair, innovative, hard-working, represent the people - not special interests, dedicated to the public health, safety, and welfare. Help to start the first keiki dental clinic in Kona.
