What qualifies you to represent the people of Hawaii?

My experience working in non-profit sector, volunteer work, and government service and with the business community provides me with a good background to serve as a fiduciary as OHA Trustee.

What are the top three challenges facing the voters you seek to represent?

Top three challenges for the beneficiaries of OHA are; Affordable Home Ownership, job creation and maintenance and economic empowerment for the Hawaiian people and collaborative, innovative leadership to improve the conditions of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and the Hawaiian people.

If elected, what will be your highest legislative priority?

My highest priority as a fiduciary for the BOT of OHA is to restore trust in the community by making sound decisions to improve the internal structure and operations of OHA. Affordable home ownership is key to shift our community on a path of improving conditions for the community and restoring Hawaiians back to the connection of their land.

If elected, what can you do to improve the lives of your constituents?

To operate as a responsible and respectful fiduciary collaboratively with the BOT of OHA to bring more targeted and intentional programs to assist in the continued growth and empowerment of Hawaiians. It will take strong decision making working collaboratively and professionally with eight other Trustees to provide better for the Hawaiian community. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of Native Hawaiians owning their own home to help bring stability and strength to family and community.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Trustees require experience that will provide for thoughtful, innovative and courageous decision making. I am a known community advocate and I need your support and permission to serve our people.
