Representative District 36 , 16 years.
I have Life experience, Legislative experience, Community experience, and am well acquainted with the problems of all three neighborhoods in district 36.
I am active and in good health.
1. Traffic congestion and long commute. Lack of adequate infrastructure and downstream development.
2. Economic concerns related to the High Cost of Housing and Living.
3.Homeless incursion and related drug use and abuse.
To communicate with constituents, address their concerns, and work hard every day. To attend all Legislative hearings I am assigned to and be there for the vote.
To speak up when Legislative procedure is incorrect. eg: last minute changes done without community and/or legislative input.
Be available to listen to their concerns and keep them apprised of my actions. To be a Representative they can depend upon to be there when they need help, and to honestly explain my actions.
I have lived in the same House in our community for nearly 40 years, and was married to a local boy. Sam passed away in 2012, and I will remain in our community because it is my home. My children all attended our public schools, and I am a strong supporter of public education and community activism. I enjoy caring for my pets, and have a big garden. I raise Monarch Butterflies, compost with worms and conserve water. I am an avid reader and keep up with the local and national news. I am active in many community endeavors.
